A permanent exhibition that features the QVMAG's extensive dinosaur collection and rocks from north-west Tasmanian dating back 545 million years.

Visitors to Tasmanian Connections will also see artefacts from Sydney Cove (the first merchant vessel wrecked in Australian waters) and a silver Alfa Romeo sports car (one of only five like it in the world).

The Museum’s Beattie Collection of early Tasmanian historical objects including examples from Tasmania’s convict and bushranger era is on show. The display is separated using a part of Beattie’s original museum furniture and a more contemporary interpretation.
